How to Fix Google Pixel 2 WiFi Problems & Connectivity Issues

Google has recently launched their Pixel 2 smartphones on the market and it is generally considered to be an amazing phone that delivers amazing performance. But some people are experiencing some WiFi related problems. But we’re here to help!

In today’s article, we’ll learn how to fix the Google Pixel 2 Wi-Fi problems and connectivity issues, so that you can fully enjoy your new phone. So let’s not waste a single second and let’s get this started!

1. The Google Pixel 2 is the first phone to benefit from the Android Oreo operating system. However, some of the applications or even the phone’s software might need an update – so before anything else, make sure that all your apps and especially the phone’s software is up to date.

2. If you have access to your router, try turning it off for about 15 seconds, then turn it on again. Usually, your Pixel 2 will connect without a problem.

3. If this doesn’t do the trick, take everything one step further: turn off your router, then turn off the phone. Restart your phone first and once it has completely booted, turn the router back on.

4. If these still don’t fix your WiFi problems on the Google Pixel 2, it might be that the firmware of your router needs an update. You will have to manually search online how to update your router’s firmware in this case, because there are so many models out there and each of them works differently.

But this is a generally simple process once you find out the make and model of your router – which should always be written somewhere on the case. Then, simply perform a google search with the following terms: “how to upgrade firmware on router model make,” replacing the final two words with those you find on your router’s case.

5. If this still doesn’t work, look at your phone’s settings and make sure that you don’t have the Airplane Mode turned on or the Power Saving turned on. Even with the latter option turned on, your phone won’t connect to WiFi in order to save battery.

6. Reset your WiFi connection on the Pixel 2 in order to give it a fresh start.

In order to do this, go to Settings > Wi-Fi on your phone, then tap and hold on your WiFi connection. Select “Forget” from the menu that pops up, then toggle the WiFi on your phone on and off. When it picks up the Wi Fi signal, enter all the details once more and connect.

Hopefully, if you follow these steps, you will be able to get rid of the WiFi connection problems on your Google Pixel 2. Leave a comment below if this doesn’t happen or if you managed to find some other potential fixes for this problem.
