Fix Computer Sound Too Low on Windows 10

Are you not able to increase the volume of your Windows PC? Have you changed the sound volume all the way up to 100% but still your computer sound is too low? Then there are certain possibilities that might be interfering with your system volume levels. Sound volume too low is a general problem that is faced by users in Windows 10.  In this article, we are going to learn multiple methods that can solve the low sound issue on the Windows 10 computer.

Fix Computer Sound Too Low on Windows

Method 1: Increase Sound from Volume Control

Sometimes even if you increase your sound/volume to its maximum limit from the volume icon in the taskbar (refer Image below). But even after this, you found out that sound in any third-party music player is coming low. So, you need to manage the volume then it should be done through the Volume control in Windows 10. Because the system has different types of volume, one is the system’s default Windows volume and the other one is the Media Player’s volume.

Here, follow the steps below to manage the volume of the Windows sound and the third party altogether through the Mélangeur de volume.

1.First, right-click on the volume icon on the taskbar. A menu will appear, click on the “Ouvrir le mélangeur de volume ».

2.Now this will open the Volume Mixer wizard, you can see the volume of all the third-party media player and System’s Sound.

If this is the case then you need to run the Audio troubleshooter. Running the Audio Troubleshooter can sometimes resolve the sound-related issues in Windows 10. To run the Troubleshooter in the system, follow the steps below:

1. appuyez sur Clé Windows + I pour ouvrir les paramètres puis cliquez sur Mise à jour et sécurité icône.

2. Dans le menu de gauche, assurez-vous de sélectionner Dépanner.

3.Now under the “Lève toi et cours"Section, cliquez sur"Lecture d'audio" .

4. Ensuite, cliquez sur Exécuter l'utilitaire de résolution des problèmes et suivez les instructions à l'écran pour fix the computer sound too low issue. 

Now, if the troubleshooter does not detect any issue but your system’s sound is still low then, try to solve it with the next method.

Method 3: Restart Audio Device

If your Audio device services are not loaded properly then you may face the Computer Sound too low issue. In that case, you need to restart the Audio services through the Device Manager.

1.Appuyez sur la touche Windows + X puis sélectionnez Gestionnaire de périphériques dans le menu.

2.Now double-click on the “Contrôleurs son, vidéo et jeu ».

3.Choose your Audio device then right-click on it and select “Désactiver l'appareil ».

4. Just click “Oui” to provide permission.

5.After some time, again Enable the device by following the same steps and restart the system.

This should fix the issue with your systems sound. If you find that the computer sound is still low then follow the next method.

Method 4: Check for Windows Mises à jour

Sometimes outdated or corrupted drivers might be the real reason behind the low volume issue, in that case, you need to check for Windows update. Windows update automatically installs new drivers for devices that can resolve the sound issue. Follow the below steps to check for updates in Windows 10:

1. appuyez sur Touche Windows + I pour ouvrir Paramètres puis cliquez sur Mise à jour et sécurité.

2. Depuis le côté gauche, cliquez sur le menu Windows Update.

3. Cliquez maintenant sur le «Vérifiez les mises à jour" pour vérifier les mises à jour disponibles.

4.Si des mises à jour sont en attente, cliquez sur Téléchargez et installez les mises à jour.

5.Once the updates are downloaded, install them and your Windows will become up-to-date.

After restarting the system, check that sound is coming properly from your system. If not, then try other methods.

Méthode 5 : Démarrer le service audio Windows

1.Appuyez sur la touche Windows + R puis tapez services.msc et appuyez sur Entrée.

2.Trouver Service audio Windows dans la liste puis faites un clic droit dessus et sélectionnez Propriétés.

3.Définissez le type de démarrage sur Automatique et cliquez sur Accueil, si le service n'est pas déjà en cours d'exécution.

4.Cliquez sur Appliquer puis sur OK.

5.Suivez la procédure ci-dessus pour Windows Audio Endpoint Builder.

6.Redémarrez votre PC pour enregistrer les modifications et voir si vous pouvez Fix Computer Sound Too Low on Windows 10.

Méthode 6: Update Sound Card Drivers

If Audio drivers are not compatible with the Windows update then you will definitely face the issues with sound/volume in Windows 10. You need to update drivers to the latest available version by following the below steps:

1.Appuyez sur la touche Windows + R puis tapez devmgmt.msc et appuyez sur Entrée pour ouvrir le Gestionnaire de périphériques.

2.Développez Contrôleurs son, vidéo et jeu puis faites un clic droit sur Périphérique audio (périphérique audio haute définition) et sélectionnez Mettre à jour le pilote.

3.Sélectionnez «Rechercher automatiquement un logiciel de pilote mis à jour» et laissez-le installer les pilotes appropriés.

4. Redémarrez votre PC et voyez si vous parvenez à résoudre le problème d'absence de son sur les haut-parleurs de l'ordinateur portable, sinon continuez.

5. Revenez à nouveau au Gestionnaire de périphériques, puis cliquez avec le bouton droit sur Périphérique audio et sélectionnez Mettre à jour le pilote.

6.Cette fois, sélectionnez «Parcourir mon ordinateur pour le logiciel pilote."

7. Ensuite, cliquez sur «Permettez-moi de choisir parmi une liste de pilotes disponibles sur mon ordinateur."

8.Sélectionnez les derniers pilotes dans la liste, puis cliquez sur Suivant.

9.Attendez la fin du processus, puis redémarrez votre PC.

Method 7: Change Equalization Settings

The equalization setting is used to maintain the sound ratio between all the running applications on Windows 10. To set the correct equalization settings, follow the below steps:

1.Cliquez avec le bouton droit sur Icône de volume in the Taskbar then click on the “Appareils à playback ».

2.This will open the sound wizard. Select the audio device and then click on “Propriétés ».

3.On the Speaker Properties wizard. Switch to the Enhancement tab then checkmark the “Equilibreur de volume"Option.

4.Click OK to save the changes.
