Method 1: Enable or Disable First Sign-in Animation using Registry

1.Press Windows Key + R then type regedit and hit Enter to open Registry Editor.

2.Navigate to the following registry key:

Right-click on Winlogon then select New and then click DWORD (32-bit) value

4.Name this DWORD as EnableFirstLogonAnimation then double-click on it and change it’s value to:

5.Click OK then close everything.

6.Reboot your PC to save changes.

Method 2: Enable or Disable First Sign-in Animation using Group Policy Editor

1.Press Windows Key + R then type gpedit.msc and hit Enter.

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon

Select Logon then from the right window double-click on Show first sign-in animation

3.Select Logon then in the right window pane double-click on Show first sign-in animation and set it’s settings as follows:

EnabledIf you want to Enable First Sign-in Animation
Disabled If you want to Disable First Sign-in Animation

Set Show first sign-in animation to enabled or disabled

Note: If set it to “Not Configured” then only the first user who completes the initial set up of Windows will see the
animation but to all the other subsequent users added to this PC will not see the first sign-in animation.

4.Click Apply followed by OK.

5.Reboot your PC to save changes.
