The popular Q&A platform Quora has just released its new AI chatbot, called פו, for the general public. Poe allows users to ask questions and gets answers from a range of AI-supported chatbots, including ChatGPT Maker, OpenAI, and Anthropic. Poe will provide users with a unique experience to experiment with the latest AI technology. The company also hopes that Poe and new AI technology will ultimately help Quora grow. Quora first announced the launch of the AI chatbot Poe in December 2022; however, at the time, the chatbot could only be accessed with an invite link. Now, Quora opens its new AI chatbot app Poe for everyone. Although the chatbot is only available for iOS users to install, the company plans to introduce the AI chatbot to other devices as well.

Quora CEO אדם ד'אנג'לו explained in a Quora פוסט that the company wanted to launch Poe as a standalone product that is independent of Quora considering how quickly AI technology is evolving and new developments are taking place. However, he also added that there will still be some connections between Quora and Poe. When an iOS user installs Poe, they will have to sign up for a new account that is verified with a phone number and a valid חשבון אימייל. Users can then switch between three different AI chatbots that were made available during the launch.

The three chatbots that were released are Sage, Claude, ו שפיר. Out of these three AI chatbots, Sage and Claude are powered by OpenAI, and Dragonfly is powered by Anthropic technology. However, all three AI chatbots still have various limitations. For example, Sage and Claude both do not know about events that occurred after 2021, and the Dragonfly chatbot may refuse to answer some questions. Also, all three AIs are known to make incorrect statements. These major limitations are one of the prime reasons why Quora does not want to integrate Poe with its official website yet.
