Cheap Android Go Smartphone Alcatel 1 Available on Amazon
Alcatel 1 is the first smartphone created by Alcatel to take advantage of the recently introduced Android Go. Also known as Android Oreo Go Edition, it is a stripped-down version of Android designed to run on entry-level smartphones.
This means that these phones will sell at very low prices. For example, Alcatel 1 went on sale on Amazon (affiliate link) today, at an insanely cheap price for a new Android smartphone with some otherwise great specifications. (Please note that the price on Amazon can change at any time so make sure you double check to see the actual price of the product).
If you’re wondering what are the specifications of the Alcatel 1, you’ll probably be surprised to hear that it runs on a Quad-Core processor (MediaTek MT6739), 1GB of RAM and comes with 8GB of internal storage but also a microSD card to expand it. It is a 5-inch smartphone with a decent resolution of 960 x 480 pixels).
The phone’s cameras are not amazing, as it offers a 5MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera – but remember that this phone sells for $80!
The main selling point – apart for the price – is that it runs on Google’s Android Oreo (the GO Edition), which has been created to give manufacturers a chance to create very budget friendly phones without having to go for old, outdated and underperforming Android versions as it usually was the case in such situations.
And when you’re on a very tight budget, this comes in handy and the Alcatel 1 is a really good choice. Sure, it’s not a flagship Samsung – but a flagship Samsung phone also costs a LOT more. So if you only have a little to spend, Alcatel’s Android Go phone is an amazing place to start at – so check it out over on Amazon (affiliate link) where you can also order one.
