If you don’t have a lot of money to spend on your drone, the Yuneec Breeze might just be the best cheap option that you have. It can film in 4K and it’s extremely friendly with new users. It has predefined modes that make taking photos or capturing video a lot easier, and it can also be used indoors safely. It also deals with wind fairly well, although it doesn’t fare well if the wind is stronger.
The Yuneec Breeze is also easy to carry around and very light. Most people who used it were satisfied, and if you consider its low selling price, you’ll agree with me that it offers great value for the money. Especially since it offers around 20 minutes of flight time thanks to its two included batteries.
One of the biggest cons when it comes to shooting videos is the lack of an external gimbal, which means that you will need to stabilize your footage when post-processing. For most people, this shouldn’t be a problem and we can consider it an expected drawback for the low acquisition price. But do check it out! If you don’t have a large budget – it will pleasantly surprise you for sure.

Parrot BeBop 2
Unlike most drones that use a separate gimbal for the camera, this one has the camera attached to the drone itself. This means that you will actually have to move the drone in the direction or position that you want to film – which can get a bit tricky in certain situations.
This might not be a huge issue in the case of an expensive drone like the Yuneec Breeze we’ve recommended above, but when you’re paying almost double for it, it does matter. But it’s up for you to decide if this is a deal breaker or not.
In terms of the quality of the video, you’re getting full HD videos and high quality photos coming from the 14MP camera. It also has digital stabilization technology, which means that you won’t have to do any post-processing. This is always an added bonus!
In terms of flight time, it consistently offers around 25 minutes, which can be considered a really good amount for a drone.

We can say that we’re moving to the Pros now that we reached the DJI drones. These are known for their incredibly high quality and are usually recommended as the best possible choices when it comes to drones for filming. And for all the right reasons!
The DJI Mavic PRO, for example, is pack-full of options and features. It offers an impressive 4.3 miles (7km) of transmission range and the drone itself is equipped with sensors that help it avoid obstacles. It can be extremely fast – reaching speeds of up to 40mph (64kmh), so you can really get this drone quickly to the spots you need to film.
It has a really solid battery life of around 27 minutes and is able to record video in 4K resolution. It also takes 12MP stills: all of them being high quality and impressive, also helped by the included stabilization technology.
The DJI Mavic PRO is pretty stable as well, although its light design doesn’t do that great when the wind is really strong. This is definitely THE drone that you should buy if you’re extremely serious about filming and getting the best possible quality product. My all time favorite (and I’m not the only one to say that), the DJI Phantom 4 PRO+ is the most expensive on the list, but it’s worth every penny!
It records video in 4K resolution and an 24mm wide angle lens that make filming so much easier. It has an amazing operating range with 720p Live View, it is extremely fast and has an impressive flight time of up to 28 minutes.
Built with a 5-direction obstacle sensing technology (and 4-direction obstacle avoidance tech), this drone can be piloted easily and is extremely safe.
