Google Pixel Smartphones Are Here and They Plan to Impress You

There are major happenings in the smartphones world, with Google announcing the imminent launch of the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL smartphones on the market. Everybody was sure that the last big launch of the year was Apple’s iPhone 7, but it seems that Google had other plans.

The brand new Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL smartphones will be the first phones from Google that will not be released under the Nexus brand. Instead, they apparently have the Google logo on the case and some very interesting exclusive features that will surely give their competitors a run for their money.

Even though official details are scarce and it’s mostly leaks that reports are based on, it’s clear that the Google Pixel, as well as Google Pixel XL will have exclusive Google support, exclusive software features, and exclusive financing options, according to Android Police’s David Ruddock who posted the updates on Twitter.

Google is apparently going for it hard as they’re planning to change the game and offer the fastest Android phones on the market right now as they will be the only smartphones (at least in the US) running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor.

Other details are not here though, but one thing is clear: if the leaks are correct, then the Google Pixel XL (at least) will be a pretty ugly phone with a really poor design choice when it comes to the back case. Here’s the leaked photo of the Pixel XL, via Android Pure – and one of the few leaks that I actually hope are wrong:

There is no official release date set for the Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, but Google is expected to tell us more about the HTC-made phones in early October. I am sure that they do have a bunch more surprises up their sleeves!
